American Aviation Sales and Services Inc. has been family owned and operated for over 30 years. We started in 1989, as a small maintenance facility, before expanding into the flight school you know today. With full time A&P IA mechanics on-site and in-house you can guarantee that any grounding condition won't keep you there long. Van Nuys Airport (VNY) is one of the busiest general aviation airports in the nation, averaging over 230,000 takeoffs and landings a year, while being in close proximity to both international and commercial airports. This unique operating environment provides our students with the opportunities to learn the skills needed to pilot anywhere in the world.

The company started as a maintenance facility which eventually expanded into aircraft interior and flight training. We entered aviation not for the business opportunity it offered but out of deep love for flying and flying machines. All the airplanes in the school are our own private airplanes, the airplanes we fly, so you can rest assure they are kept with the highest standards and care. The maintenance is performed in house, minimizing down time. Van Nuys airport is one of the 10 busiest general aviation airports in the world in close proximity to international and commercial airports. As a result our students are exposed to complex procedures and airspace. By the end of their training, having been operating in such a busy and sophisticated environment, our students are more than capable to operate in any environment in the world."
