Independent instruction and third-party services
American Aviation provides independent flight instruction. Aircraft and office space are provided separately by American Aviation Sales & Services Inc. (“A.A.S.S.”) in Van Nuys. Aircraft availability, rental approval, operating rules, maintenance, scheduling, TSA identity verification, and records handled by A.A.S.S. may be subject to separate agreements and requirements.
Aviation requirements and safety
All flights are subject to instructor judgment, aircraft availability, weather, maintenance, weight and balance, air traffic control, airport restrictions, and applicable FAA, TSA, and other legal requirements. No route, completion date, checkride date, certificate, rating, or outcome is guaranteed. The pilot in command and instructor retain authority to delay, modify, or cancel a flight for safety or legal reasons.
Pricing and payment
Published rates and estimates may change and are not guarantees of total program cost. Actual cost depends on proficiency, training frequency, aircraft and instructor time, outside fees, and other circumstances. Payment may be accepted by card, Zelle, cash, or another agreed method. Aircraft rental or other third-party charges may be paid separately to the provider.
Cancellations and refunds
The first cancellation is free. The second cancellation and each cancellation after it is subject to a $50 charge. No refund is provided after a flight or instruction has been completed. A cancellation required by weather, maintenance, safety, or legal restrictions may be treated differently at our reasonable discretion.
User responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information, follow instructor and provider safety directions, present required identification and certificates, disclose conditions relevant to safe flight, and refrain from unlawful, abusive, disruptive, or unauthorized use of the website or services. Minors must have parent or guardian consent whenever applicable law or a provider requires it.

Disclaimers and limitation of liability

American Aviation is not responsible for acts, omissions, systems, aircraft, facilities, or records controlled by independent providers, including A.A.S.S. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Governing law and changes
These Terms are governed by the laws of California, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. We may revise these Terms by posting an updated version with a new effective date.
