One Los Angeles Aviation Training Home Base

Regardless of where you reside, all flight instruction occurs at our Van Nuys Airport (KVNY) home base, where exposure to local general aviation traffic provides valuable practical experience with airport operations, cockpit procedures, and radio communication.
Our school assists students in planning their training around personal availability—including discovery flights and specific certificate or rating paths—recognizing that schedules vary by neighborhood. We prioritize coordinating with Designated Pilot Examiners (DPEs) early in your training to target checkrides within one to two weeks after you have reached readiness and completion, provided that weather, eligibility, and examiner scheduling permit. Regardless of your location in the Los Angeles area, all training is conducted at Van Nuys Airport using structured, Airman Certification Standards (ACS)-based instruction. With decades of experience, our owner reports a 90% first-attempt pass rate. Instruction is $35 per hour, and Cessna 152 rental is $130 cash or $135 via card.
